Latisha Hendry is a Licensed Professional Counselor–Associate who joined the MUSC Rex Center in July 2026, bringing a diverse background in mental health counseling, education, and supportive services. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, with majors in psychology and sociology and a minor in anthropology, from the University of South Carolina Beaufort in 2002, followed by a Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University in 2010. Before joining the MUSC Project Rex team, Latisha worked as a Mental Health Counselor with CDMHC, a Mental Health Professional with the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, and a teacher serving third- and fourth-grade students. Latisha is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and broad-minded space where clients can explore their goals, develop healthier patterns, and work toward meaningful change. She uses a blended approach incorporating evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. Her approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and helping clients break barriers while developing a deeper understanding of themselves and the stigma that can sometimes surround mental health. Outside of the clinic, Latisha enjoys cheering on her son at his football games and track meets and relaxing with favorite movies such as Tremors, Jurassic Park, Armageddon, and Remember the Titans.
Latisha is currently accepting new patients and welcomes the opportunity to support individuals on their journey toward improved well-being.
